We were totally reliant on Checkatrade to discover us a trustworthy tradesperson for our repair job. We joined and advertised our project details, but unfortunately, we were left in the lurch.

Did Checkatrade Rip Us Off?

We thought we were doing the right choice by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so trustworthy with their qualified traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.

First, the communication from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and here gave us a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to discuss the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up having to hire someone else by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's support was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.

We're left feeling frustrated and warn everyone against using them for your tradesman needs.
